Resident Camp Experience
There is a commercial on TV right now about a family in distress in their home. The children are not getting along with each other and the parents are not getting along with the children. Mom pulls up in a new mini-van and the family piles inside. They drive through these beautiful places; woods, beachfronts etc. Unfortunately, the family inside doesn't even notice the gorgeous environment because they are too busy watching DVD's. Not only that, there are two different DVD's being played so the father can watch one movie and the kids watch a totally different movie which keeps them from talking to each other for hours. Camp gives your kids the opportunity to get away from the TV. Kids are missing nature. We want to fill that void. Resident camp is the best way to fill that gap.
Resident camp is a way for a child to experience time away from home in a safe and exciting environment. Your child will stay in a cabin with children of the same gender and with kids of similar age. The cabins have up to 14 kids per cabin and two counselors that will stay with that cabin all week. Camp runs from Sunday afternoon when the child is brought to Camp until Friday evening when we invite the parents to join us for a closing ceremony and dinner. Parents will be able to meet the counselors and to meet all of your child’s cabin-mates. During the week, campers will be able to choose different activities that they want to do but they will also spend time learning about nature.
